Array ( [sid] => 145145 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => ~Rain on the Windows~ [time] => 2008-09-13 14:33:29 [hometext] => stormy weather in Florida with the impeding Hurricane IKE rolling in....... wow how can nature apply to life huh? [bodytext] => Rain on the windows
she sings in her own tune.
Do we linger with the dark clouds
wishing it was through?

Or bask in its glory
a cleansing moment for the soul?
Embracing the beauty in everything
loving the shining healthy glow.

A storm it is coming
maybe a lesson along the way.
Learning from the tragedy,
or sit and sulk through out the day?

Holding on to the storm,
or letting go in release.
Knowing at the end
there will be hope and peace.

In the ugly darkness
there she is shining on.
The rainbow light and bright
casting glow across the land.

A few drops left, as they fall light upon the skin.
A sobering moment
when the light of truth walks in.
The glory of beauty walks beside the storm.

Awe, this is really beautiful Shelby. There
really is something about the way the world
looks after a big storm. Maybe because we
appreciate it that much more. Great job!

Michelle, wow. You really make the reader take a hard look at life in a way
that is so unique. This is by far, one of my favourites that you've written. It's
full of insight, beauty and a message that cannot be ignored. You have
a beautiful soul, hun. I LOVE that you placed both pictures here. It
reminds us that no matter what torrents come our way, the calm after is
indescribably beautiful!

Hoping you are keeping well!!!

*huge hugs*

~ Breezy

Michelle,

I have to agree with the wonderful comments you have received already. This is among your best work, and considering your repertoire, that is saying something. There is something compelling about rain on the windows. How we are protected on the inside, but can be enchanted by the beauty on the outside. The first picture reminds me of a picture that Roxanne took when she came to visit in July. We went to the Gulf coast and unfortunately in our two day trip there, we were received with rain. But there is something very captivating about seeing a body of water through a window graced with rain. Something too rich for my humble poetic abilities to express, but you've done it well! I also admire the fact that you found something inspirational to write about just before an impending disaster. We all know there is beauty in every form of darkness. A wonderful wonderful write!

SUPERB!!

Daniel
