I know you remember me.
But what you think, I need to see.
Every time our eyes meet,
I remember how I had to compete,
How you could be so sweet,
Yet so mean.
I remember how you tore me apart,
Ripping to shreds my heart.
And you never even noticed.
I know you remember me,
But what is it that you see?
Do you still remember what I did for you?
Those horrible things you never wanted to believe were true?
You thought I stopped, but I never did.
I merely hid.
I know you remember me,
But is it enough?
Do you even care?
If I were to die, would you even notice?
I wish I could say I didn’t, but you I terribly miss.
My heart aches for you; it still remembers too.
I can’t seem to get over you.
Even though it’s been months,
I still need you.
