Seeking to remove strength with potency unforetold
As the weeping souls of tomorrow wait to mourn today.

Feelings wrought and overstretched by infernal offerings;
Another global revolution brings yet another gloomy sun.
Monumental tears bead down a child’s cheek, leaving canyon-like scars,
Furious steel screams as buildings fall, blood spilling all the while.

A tainted mind unable to cease these maladies; unwilling.
Frigid steel massages the honing stone, ensuring a clean cut;
The kill, never as satisfying as the death … killing is so generic, but death is decisive.
Fiendish hauntings manifest from a simple thought, twice a thousand times.

With the world rotating in a shortened twist, brooding,
We scurry to remedy all that can be fixed, and all that has been broken.
Disbelief and grief offer no relief, yet perseverance reigns
As doctors mend, builders form and scholars discover. Hatred abounds within the core of so many at large,
Eyes glazed over with every vision of death, blindly so.
Seeking to remove strength with potency unforetold

This packs a big punch Wiz, well done. The
imagery is pretty astounding and the wording
is amazing. I got my biggest pang (of
course) with the line "Monumental tears bead
down a child's cheek, leaving canyon-like
scars..." but that's from my own issues, every
line is decisively profound. Perfect.

As we sit in our robes at our desks we stand and applaud yet another great spell of words cast by our friend wizard. This is a heroic effort, and we wonder if it was written about current events to befall this site. We won't get into names or details. Yet we will say that whether or not this is the case we think this fits. Human venom can sting. We find an interesting complexity of this thought within your words and are amazed. Amazed enough that we pull out yet another wax wizard. We set it on fire and it melts. Why did we burn it, because the strength of wizards live beyond the ash. The wizard of poetry is our spell casting hero and with your wax we will make more wax wizard idols.

May you too be haunted tonight by the face of an angry scarecrow or may a wax wizard stop him on his way by melting his wax and then wax wizard come to poke you with a fork while you sleep.
