My body went all numb
Talked to a sister on the phone
Sounded quite dumb.
“Please God, not again!”
That was my first prayer.
She lost a baby four years ago
Another loss, we can’t bear.
My little sister is like my own
Her baby would be my ‘grand’
Wish I had been there with her
If only to hold her hand.
Just got another call,
Baby seems okay
Now for the wellbeing of my sister
I am going to pray.

Sweetie this is so disturbing. All my thoughts, hopes

Thank you all for your prayers, well wishes and concern. Nics is out of hospital now and she is feeling much better. Baby Celina is also doing great.... and so am I..:>)

| I hope this had a happy ending. This poem brought back memories of when my daughter called and said she was having signs of miscarrying again! We prayed her through and nine months later she delivered a healthy baby boy. But that first miscarriage was devastating and occurred right before leaving for vacation. Thank God her doctor told her to still go, that she needed it. Your poems are filled with emotion. Really takes hold of the reader. |
