Let Me

Contributed by allforyou on Wednesday, 27th August 2008 @ 12:44:24 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I'll be your ocean,
if you'll be my sand.
And let my rough waves,
crash on your soft hands.

I'll be your sky,
if you'll be my stars.
This way we'll be close,
even though we're so far.

I'll be your gravity,
if you'll be my rain.
And let me make you,
fall more every day.

I'll be your flame,
if you'll be my spark.
And promise that you'll,
let me burn in you heart.

Beautiful work.

"And promise that you'll,
let me burn in your heart"

Damn. That is just about the most romantic line
I've read in a very long while! So impossibly poetic!!

Great post!

Very well carried out. This is simply refreshing, love poetry untrammeled by either clichés or the insecure need to be overtly off-the-wall. I like the first stanza especially, a very graceful execution of rhyme and rhythm.

Nice!
