The weathered rope still holds the weight
Keeping me berthed to my mate
Skiffs lashed together against a storm
The craggy rope, still holding is torn
Standing against the scouring of age
Tethering us two, opposing squall’s rage
Golden hemp that’s battered and worn
Will hold on my hand till our love is reborn

A wonderful testament to the truth and devotion that love holds
in and around us. I adore the metaphors. I especially love the usage
of a tempestuous sea and being tied to each other as a lifeboat to a
ship. Lovely.
Great post! =)
