Same story
Different guise

Different people
Different places
Familiar circumstance
Similar faces

So come on and
Hand me your
Weightlight

I've carried it before
More a courtesy
Than a chore

I was born
To be the ruins
Of this illusionary world

And today
You'll find comfort here
And curl

So I'll take it in
Until my eyes turn black
But don't be surprised
When it comes back
In a form you don't recognize

I've suffered enough
To want to empathize
But all you do
Is ruin my life

My Gift
My Curse
My Nemesis

So step up and
Take a piece of me
I'll be part of your story
But it stops there
Because I can't forget
That I'm always in
Enemy Territory

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
