My soul freely discusses problems
So hurtful the world was to me and
So hurt was I
Until I chose to talk to you, my Friend
I’ll pray night and morning
Forever and I’ll sing your name out, Father
Because it is your desire.
My Lord I love being happy and
I love that in me you’ve started a fire
You and I are perfect
In a world where people would rather hurt than
Give you a try
I find
That maybe it is my job to let people know
That answers never come from hate or pain
But love and hope my friends
How many times have I been lifted after
Falling hard
I wish, my Savior, That the world would just
Give you a try
Why hurt and question truth when you can
Smile and call a truce with the darkest enemy.
Just leave it all behind and smile.
Smile wide
And know
That no matter what happens
Our Lord can and will bail us out. Help us out.
Hurricane Katrina and death and Hell
Earthquakes and hurricanes
Cyclones and well
You know it all
Why did he do this?
You cry
But never for a second is it ever a product of the
World we ruined.
Complain and rant and rave as I sit
And pray with hopes that soon we’ll all
Be together someday.
It isn’t my choice nor God’s
But yours my friend.
So choose and remember to
Love with the heart
