Toss The Lock

Contributed by catz77 on Monday, 11th August 2008 @ 01:55:53 AM in AEST
Topic: happypoetry

A sunflower made my day
today
it looked right at me and
waved away

As the sun fed the flower
my smile grew
I waved wildly, happily
As it became you

So golden and charming
Oh how you glowed
Your strong stem stood high
You sang to me an ode:

Oh human so bold
And alone
Smile wide, a dance for you
Feel at home

Dry your tears, push them away
Don’t you know?
I am God’s sunflower
Things are slow, I know

But how can you frown
On this day
That God has made
Dance with me
Push the sadness away

A lovely, flighty, soft, caressing write. It made me smile:)
