In a few years
Or maybe days
In a few seconds
I may live or die
So wonderful
This time
I have
Decades will pass
Before my name is known
Or never again
Will I know
Truth and I
We’re good friends
And we share
Big lies
Of you and they dancing on treetops as
I sway
The moon swirls
In my eyes
As truth and I
Share a lie
Of the day we went on and on
Til we found luck
Hiding away
In a tree trunk
Lovely promises
Shattered at our feet
Music kissing our hearts as we
Spread misleading
The world
Oh yes decades will
Pass
You and I
Will have finished
Our long lived lie.
