and suddenly my childish days are revived in one broken piece
Certainly this world is just a moment and
I'm alone in it anyways, dissolving in the time.

I don’t want to meet my fate today, so
inside my bed I close my eyes
I’ll stay admiring my dream.
Could this be the only way?

It’s hard to hide and forget when
The shadows of the trees are shining
within my room’s white walls
and the morning sun burns from outside my window.

A new day has to begin, revealing myself from the covers,
my worries become nothing, just like that.
I let my fingers caress the glass, looking out I feel so dizzy.
The world is buzzing around me, while I idly watch.

Shadows of birds dart mischievously back and forth across the pavement,
And the rusty forlorn gate creakily sways back and forth with the wind.
Once again I realize today, like every other day, there’s no escaping fate.
Grabbing my jacket, and heart shaped sunglass, I want so much to skip down the concrete steps and be with that world.

It hits me again, and I descend back on my bed.
My found liveliness, dissipating.
Crying, the tears stain my cheeks, laying backwards I watch the shadows shine on my rooms white walls. Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
