Array ( [sid] => 144369 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => ~His rainbow~ [time] => 2008-08-04 09:54:40 [hometext] => This is for Scott and Shannon and the girls in their time of great loss and pain. [bodytext] => ~Hearts that know the lonely~
and the feeling of his loss.
The ache that doesn't rest
the last balls has been tossed.

A sense of something not right.
and your tears so freely fall.
Wishing things were the way "they were"
before your sweet buddy had the call.

He has his rainbow now,
his body is restored.
He is waiting to see you once more
near the dog bone laden shores.

Your memories are precious
and they will sift with you in your dreams.
He will always be just a thought away
as dismal now as it seems.

Scott and Shannon and girls,
Gary and I are so sorry to hear of this news and we are thinking of all of you.
Words do not bring much comfort in times such as these
but know we feel your hurt and loss.

So sorry.......

in closed is the Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Michelle,

I cannot express to you how deeply this touched my very soul. My first thought was to call you and chew you out for making me cry. Then I realized I really haven't stopped yet.

My love to you forever and always sister, you will always be called friend and so much more.

Peace

~Shannon

I have to agree with Lane...you are a sweetie.
This was lovely and I am sure that Shannon and Scott appreciate it greatly.....We all need friends like you during times of loss....makes the medicine easier to take and bear.
