Dot this tree-starved land
They cover a rough and dry terrain
Like the palm of a calloused hand

I have wondered to this place
From far, far abroad
With my soul prepared
Though my heart's torn and flawed

I find a brittle yet suitable tree
And then while preparing the noose,
I think of how things will be

My Freedom's Coming

Topic: Suicide

Stagnant pools of dying life
Dot this tree-starved land
They cover a rough and dry terrain
Like the palm of a calloused hand

I have wondered to this place
From far, far abroad
With my soul prepared
Though my heart's torn and flawed

I find a brittle yet suitable tree
And then while preparing the noose,
I think of how things will be
When, finally, I am loosed
