I lost a friend to Heaven today
The angels encircled him as they floated away
These tears of mine keep falling to the ground
It won’t be the same without him around.
He thought he was a ‘nobody’
A “washed up has-been’
Little did he know
The strength he provided within.

He was a man with many a gift
All too often, my spirit, he would lift.
This special friend has proved to me
How loving and forgiving he could be.
He was a gem, this friend of mine
One who never crossed the line.
I hope that his days among the angels will be
Filled with happiness and lots of glee.

Jen,
wraps her arms around her Jen..
I am so so sorry for your loss. This poem is lovely and shows just how much you cared for him and how wonderful a person he was. He lives on in your heart.
That is a hard thing to come to grips with right at the moment I know.

Hugsssssssssssss

'tweet 'n' tiny tribute full of fond farewell. Many times too often we say - what we would like to have said when soul friends are with us - when bidding fond farewells. Kinda knowin' m' islandgrrl, your friend was more than aware of your uplifted spirit and their part in helping make it that way. You have a habit of thank yous. Nice work.

I am so sorry for your loss but what a lovely tribute! He sounds like the type of friend all of us should have.
