With the news of my death the moon went dark
Soft orchestra music could be heard in the park
The one friend that I had left on the earth
Introduced my replacement by giving birth

For when one person dies and leaves this place
Another one is born to fill the empty space
The gentle music gave way to loud cheers
As with me gone they could forget some of their fears

No longer would I be here trying to be their friend
No more words of encouragement would I continually send
No more broken hearts would I be here to mend
No more fighting for the innocent to defend

I know with the new morning’s light
All of the wrongs I have done will not be right
But with time most wounds have a way of healing
I believe soon, much better you will be feeling

Steps of Recovery

With the news of my death the moon went dark
Soft orchestra music could be heard in the park

I agree with with the rest here, by that I mean the bitterness in this is hard to read, but you must realize how much you would be missed if you should ever leave...
