But for one he does implore…
So many dances without her,
Those silent steps he does deplore.

Embracing dreams without her grasp;
A recollection of letting go.
Notes unanswered and love expelled,
Meetings canceled, he wants her so.

She needed not to change a thing…
Perfect in her every way,
Yet he was unable to see…
Until the day she slipped away.

Why did she slip? Or was she pushed?
These waking dreams shall never cease.
Her image burned into his heart;
She held on through his stark release.

Alone, wanting only her kiss…
Perhaps even a word or two,
Thrown into taunting emptiness,
He knows not what he is to do…

It seems as though he’ll wear out yet another pen…

Wizard with a pen. May it never run dry.
Longing and deep thought put to words in
this one. I like the way it explores what led up
to and then what could have been done
different. Very thought provoking

So sad but beautifully sweet.
I luv this line,
It seems as though he’ll wear out yet another pen…
I know that feeling so well.
big huggs, smiles, blessings,

I'm glad I decided to read this before I got off. ^_^
Very good write as always Wizard.
But there's something about this one that stands out. To me, anyway. :D

You are so wonderfully gifted.
Here is yet another poem of yours that
I am just in love with!
It's so tragic, and stunning at the same time.
Never stop writing, friend.

Your words reach down to the very pit of my soul.
You have an incredible way with words.
You make tragedy into beauty with your writing.

This may be the twentieth time I've read this
poem, it is one of my favorites of those that
I've read from you. For some reason it draws
me back in again and again. I never really
knew what to comment that could grasp how
it makes me feel. I still don't, hence the
rambling, but I thought you should know.
Anything I could say would seem trite to me,
but I will leave you with "beautifully done".

~Jesse
