Sitting here, alone, on my roof, wishing you were mine.

Holding you close, tracing each scar on your skin.

Memorizing each line of your face, I guess I just didn't win the race.

The race against time, the race to win your heart, how can I keep from falling apart?

Do I turn around and keep holding on?

Just by a thread of hope?

why is that all I recieve as aposed to her who has a full rope?

Or do I move on, onto a new life with a brand new dawn?

We both know what I should choose, but we also know that I will sit here and take your abuse.

Each day I slip farther and farther down waiting for my thread to break, I cry out for you, don't you ever hear the sound?

Do you know what it feels like, to feel your heart rip?

That feeling you get just as you trip.

Sometimes I wake up screaming your name, and then I remember it's all just a filthy game.

A game that no one will win, did you know that lying is a sin?

You'll break her heart too, I just hope she realizes it like I do.

I hope she hurts you, I hope she breaks your heart.

then you'll know what it feels like to rebuild your heart from the start.

I'm just barely holding on right now, waiting for my thread to break.
