I had this for breakfast, online diaries speak
I might have new shoes by the end of the week
Friends they collect to display to the world
Intimate personal details unfurled
Gone is the mystery, to strangers laid bare
Facts strewn to visuals everywhere
The concept I've missed of this networking vibe
Exempting myself from this huge cyber tribe
But the look of my latest blog won't cause me strife
As I'm not on myspace, its my private life

Ha! I'm sure many could relate; although it shames me to say that I am on myspace. I feel I need to defend that I only have family members and close friends on there and it is a wonderful way to stay in touch, although I do miss the old days where I used to get letters. Good job!

Wow Steve! This was so well done!!! I would be raised and applauding, but
I (like Jesseca) own a myspace page. lol You've done so well at showing the
negative side, (and it's THERE, for CERTAIN!), but there are some good things
about it too. Looks like you've just had the bad experiences. :( It's
not for everyone. LOVED the piece. Great work!! =)

Great points and I agree somewhat but I tracked down old friends and long lost cousins on social networking (Facebook).
Great poem though. Me likes.
You're on Facebook though...or someone stole your picture and name. :) So are a few of the commentators.
