I shall add to it my token
I shall breath deep
The water into my lungs
And pray that Davey
Shall release my heart into her hands
And she shall release the serpent from her heart
And bathe my heart within her tears.

Awesome write Kevin. Personally, I liked
the last line, as it gives hope. Thats one thing

What an interesting and fortuitous happenstance, that I should chance upon this
particular write on this particular morning, (P of the C -- At World's End is playing).
I love the metaphor you've crafted and the way in which you've drawn SO damn
much emotion in so few lines. It's perfect!

I adore how it 's like the sadness has entwined itself around this soul, in
a torturous chain that binds him to it. But as Mike says, there is hope,
especially in that last line. DAMN! It's so impossibly gorgeous and agonizing
at once. (Like so much of what you write!!)

Bravo, poet! Bravo!
