Array ( [sid] => 14383 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Bare [time] => 2003-03-17 04:30:00 [hometext] => This poem contains alot of analogies which are supposed to explain that I'm feeling all the mentionable relationships that I've had have fallen apart and I'm worried the one I have right now will too. [bodytext] => Wind that moves the grass in twisting brush strokes. Texturizing the life weeping to escape the limitations of heartbeats encrypt with sorrow. A flower blooms for every day I see your face. Happiness blossoms in these fragile ornaments. Each extending towards the broken fences lying behind shadows cast. There it is lightless. Lifeless, where no one can watch the blossoms whither into melancholy skins and deeper casts of blood. Then one by one the memories collapse into therapuetic sand. It's hard to comfort a heart in pain. As wind passes over my warmed skin, it's hard not to envision you here running your fingers up and down my back. A rose was born for us that night. Natures deepest shade of red, flowing with life. There it lies in the scenery like the moon in a starless sky. An aura of something unforgetable. It stands tall, struggling above a mosaic of dead leaves and weeds. Though as the sun continues it's rotation above me, our rose falls inches nearer to a tragic shadow. Unescapeable. Don't let this die. We will fade away in the heated drips from a single candle, with memory stained wherever we land. This rose is unlike anything else contained in this picture. It is the only present tranquility I can find. There are miles of broken trees veiwable from the rotting benches in my swaying grass. What's so dandy about a dandilion? A burst of tangy layers tastes nothing but sour. They cover this land, as the only flower that can withstand the shadows which reek of the dead. May we hold those same qualities when it is our turn to feel this form of pain? I'm praying for eternal light to shine, so we may write our names in the ashes of failure. More difficult to read than most poems I've come across from here. But it was well worth the time reading and thinking it over. It does have a large number of analogies and I appreciate the repeated use of certain metaphors and adjectives. At the end of the day I thought this was a well considered poem on idealisation and it's loss (obviously in respect to your relationships). Well done!!!
