some of us laugh at defiance like bitter tasting wine
some try to define but with bad will and form
most conform to ideals that feel wrong with many unanswered questions
we are all longing for something trying to get the sense of something solid
but only finding illusion when we grasp at our dreams

So we have been walking with these rules for many years i feel stale is the best word
feeding us dreams while in reality we are only falling faster well so fast you don't even know it
crashing in debt to keep up with the latest fads or who ever we are worshiping
dreams lost in the rust of yesterday but we still don't live in the now
past our anchor guilt our way of life now how sad does that sound to you
we take any answer we call what they tell the truth hey we voted him in

Now what shall we do with these wasted dreams our discarded visions
throw them with our guilt so we feel worse upon the wear
think they will come without trying or riding some others coat tales
fantasy and dreams are two different things you can make dreams come true
you can only dream about fantasy riding with beasts never before thought of
dreams are yours taste them jump for them think act walk and wake
life is hard why wait for the silver platter to come forth
thats all questions thats all beliefs all patterns in control
with out control or your somewhat feel of control shattered would be the sound in your world

Now how about us who care sitting behind screens angry at what i write
understanding that there is more to life then the flash
gold is something in the heart not the pockets
i see your soul every day i am sad at the way you hang your head low
my problem is that i feel your heart when you are around i feel your lust anger and pain
crazy is my mind at first being able to feel that at childhood
never trusting always on my guard
looking for heart in this world
finding only greed and disregard
i only tell you this because i found my heart it was lost for awhile and now i am whole and i thank you
i only want to understand the motive behind the destruction we call a legacy
as we build more wall i damn them but they still build
and i am sorry for there souls [comments] => 2 [counter] => 149 [topic] => 13 [informant] => lostrelic [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

You always touch on so many real things about this life then put it to page with brilliant fever.
I loved the entire write but the gold of heart is a favorite.
