I will always be there tickling visions and depressing day's
Until you find yourself right outside that old shaggy roof

Childhoods filled with chores, filled with complaints
Fights which went unoticed by mother but touched upon by father

Changing things wont make them go away
Distracting wont make them stray
They always come back haunting but only looking for someone
to remember them

Walking around hand trailing over flaky white paint
Sighing then gasping as wood splits in your skin
You smile because it makes you cry

But tears which are not from sadness, neither from happiness
Tears just from the free feeling of you light heart and jolly mind
Nothing could tear you away from this one piece of mind that you
call your own

Some call home just where you live and sleep
Others say its where your pride lives and your shame stays
Yet most people say it's where you raise your kids
But my home is where the mind belongs and the eyes see
and the heart is free. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 235 [topic] => 21 [informant] => GreenEves16 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )
