Time to take a bow
The show is over that is all
From a speeding piece of silver Death’s hand it does bestow

It’s the final curtain call
Take a step to the right and exit the stage
No words can be spoken to cause the inevitable to stall
For the time has come to close the book for the audience has read the last page

But wait the curtain raises one more time
For a finale the audience begins to yell
For now it wont be suicide but self induced murder, against myself I commit the crime
For every member of the audience will have their own version of my story to tell

The curtain once again drops to the wooden stage floor
Upon the lifeless corpse that can no longer call his mind his own
For it was with a bang that he gave life to a show that otherwise was a bore
For in those final minutes nothing was heard; not a gasp, a sigh, or a moan

And so for a final performance he bids them adieu
For that was the final curtain call

This is really awesome, Rich.... It's something I can relate to of late....
It actually reminded me of a poem I wrote some time ago. Perhaps I'll post it today...
I hope that another play opens up soon....

RIch,
you captured an audience with this one.
It is so intense.
Very dark, I hope it is writing and you are not slipping once more.
Hugs
Michelle
