To wander off a small wooded path and travel a cobblestone street
As demons trod like passers-by
With every word muttered not a sound but a desperate cry
As tears of desperation burden an already leaden heart
Caring not for tomorrow but only when the demons will part
But yet tomorrow comes without an announcement or invitation
Thinking that with death’s release will come true reason for celebration
Wanting to find love yet only siblings, Sorrow and Pain pay heed
A silver bullet flashes while crimson covers the eyes as the mind begins to bleed
Parting is such sweet Sorrow, while it is a demon in its own mind
For as everything that surrounds turns scarlet, sight goes blind
And with that silver streak that burns its path through a dying brain
Heaven releases its tears with the coming of a summer’s rain
Wanting the sun to perform its daily ritual to welcome the night
So eyes can close that one last and bid farewell to morning’s first light

Rich,

You have penned a very powerful piece that many can see being relative to them.

Man this is depressive. You write well none the less.

A little word of advice here on another matter.
How about letting the past go and working things out with Michelle. You wont find a better friend than her.
Bury the machete and not in one another's heads and backs for a change. I know you two have done a battle or two but life is short, let it go be a man be a friend.
We all need them. From the sounds of this read you really do need as many friends as you can get. Agree? She does not know I am here leaving you a note, make good with it why don't you?

I like this title much better than the other, the other one we discussed, you were right it didn't have enough depth, this one was perfect for this poem. The poem is brilliant depsite the fact of how you the writer my dear are feeling right now. It is always nice to write it all out because it helps. You made this poem personal which I think will reach many of the readers on that personal level and make them feel if they do not already know how it feels to be like this, under this grip of depression. I know as well as you how this feels and I can relate too this on such a level that I feel like you know what I have to go through and I appreciate that. Well done..

Take care
Hugs
Christina

Rich,
This is emotive and darn sad. I thought things in your life were better. I am sorry to see this it is about heart breaking to me. I hope it is just writing and you are not thinking of acting on this. That is not the way.
I liked the rhyme in this. Strong.

BYW we need to talk, it is important.

Michelle
