whilst the un living thoughts that clotted
slowly left my head
drip
my un living thoughts fell upon a virgin page
the words i never say, caught-in-my-dreams
parted lips to pen
drop
drip drop upon the page
release
i woke up this morning two feeling dull and dead
whilst the fresh un living thoughts that
clotted
slowly left my head
drip
my un living thoughts fell upon a virgin page
the words i never say, caught-in-my-dreams
parted lips to pen
drop
drip drop upon the page
release
i woke up this morning three feeling dull and dead
whilst the same old un living thoughts that
clotted didn't leave
my head
drrrrrrriiiiiii11ppppppppp
my un living thoughts couldn't fall upon a virgin page
left flowered
still tangled in my web like dreams
nothing fell from lips to pen
to scared to leave
drrrrrrriiiiiiiippppppppp
release won't free
me
got to put words to person
release into air
drip
woke up this morning four feeling dull and dead
whilst the clotted thoughts that
STILL clotted my head
stayed still- wouldn't leave
but words still fell from lips to pen
fell upon page
meaningless words
meaning, finally found
wrote and wrote
words cascading, falling on page after page
creating energy from language
relationships with words created
drip drop gone
I woke up this morning five feeling dull and dead inside
Unable to conjure positive thoughts from the space that was inside my head
No good language was caught in my dreams
In the future
Keep words from falling from lips to person
Keep them on paper
No harm done
Back to the same old
Drip
Drop
Because I understand
I do
That every one wants more sometimes
Even if no one else wants them
To
What is given is never enough
So I woke up this morning six feeling dull and dead inside
Solus loborius demersus
Whilst the dreary un living thoughts that clotted my head
Stayed stuck inside
At least for one more day
No good time to release, lesson learnt
So I woke up this morning seven feeling dull and dead
Whilst the living thoughts that clotted my head
Fell from my inner dreams, through my inner eye
From head to mind
Mind to lips
Lips to
Paper
Back to that same old same old
Beautiful sound
Drip drop
Drip drop

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
