I ran along the beach next to the ocean so blue
Trying so hard to catch up to you
You told me we were like ships passing in the night
This day my love has abandoned ship and has taken flight

Soaring high above the loneliness of the world today
There is so much I want to tell you, but I have to find the way
I know I am close to you, to see you won’t take long
Because I hear the echoes of your beautiful song

Though hundreds of ladies each week I see
Snuggled tight with you is exactly where I long to be
I know you find this hard to accept and to believe
From your side I wish to never leave

Spotting you, I descend so together a new we may start
But as I approach you thrust a dagger through my heart
Unable to understand for you the love I felt
Remembering only the past troubles you have been dealt

Watching me die you once again feel safe and protected
My true intentions of love and desire you never detected
So it remains we were two ships that once passed in the night
My heart resting below on the ocean floor, never again to take flight

Wow! For some reason when I'm listening to any of my songs you fit in with the mood IDK? But it was another killer.
