The page full of words, the ink not yet dry
The writer caps his pen with a tear in his eye
He knows this is the last piece he has to give
He no longer has the desire to live

He looks up and thanks the Lord for this incredible ride
But from his fears and emotions he can no longer hide
The time has come for him to leave this place
To disappear without a trace

The messages all delivered that the Lord has given him to write
He no longer has the strength to keep up the fight
Time now for someone else to carry on
Soon this writer will be gone

He never knew why he was chosen to put the words into written form
Could not understand how doing this simple thing kept his heart warm
Now that the words have all been recorded for people to share
It is the hour that he must prepare to go home to Heaven, no time to spare

Many writers have come and gone before
Too many to even keep score
Many more writers will follow still
Many more wars innocent people will kill

The messages from God he delivered like he was asked to do
How you decide to react to them is all up to you
At times he over forced his hand
Trying to make a firm stand

Now he no longer has the power in his legs to rise
He looks up to Heaven and cries
Lord God, please take me home to be with you now
Let my weak and tired body rest deep beneath the plow

So ends the story of one writer
At one time a valiant truth fighter
Soon there will be another to stand in his place
For them it is just the beginning of life’s race

I am beyond impressed. They way the story was conveyed it was easy to follow and the words still had their bite. Impressive!
