[bodytext] => The shhhh of driving cars as they shoot down the street. The clicking of high heels from the girls' stomping feet. I suck a stale breath from the summer night's air. The window shade blocking the world that we share with happies and recluses and girls in short skirts, and frowners and downers and technology nerds. With the moon in the sky and the stars looming low, there's enough of a light in this bedroom to show the freckles on your face that I trace with my fingers, and the kiss on my lips that forever will linger through years spent apart, as we go separate ways, til the sunlight has set on the last of our days. Til we share our last breath with this world left behind, and embrace forever, I yours, and you mine.
