[hometext] => A sad poem about relationships FM
[bodytext] => Her heart flutters as he pulls her aside
Saying he has a question to ask her She thinks of what she would say as he pulls her inside But all he asks is if there is something he can buy at the store she needs In her mind she wonders why he has not asked, Wondering if he is truly in love. Since they met much time has passed, And it seems time has flown like a dove. Not long ago she had asked him when, But he stated time must pass There are bills to pay for both of them And he feels they must be dealt with fast A year more has passed and still no question As she falls into bad health He wants to ask but feels it a cruel notion To dangle something so sweet with emotional wealth He tells himself time must pass She will get better and they will be wed. He will ask her upon the parks cool grass. But till then he waits by the hospital bed. As time unfolds its cruelly dealt hand Death comes swiftly by And so next to her grave he stands The rain hiding faces as eyes cry And he holds the ring in his fingers Looking upon the fresh dug earth And there weeks later still he lingers Asking himself what was his worth For time had passed for his sweetheart And he couldn't find the chance For life's new beginning to start And bring truth out of romance As he dies lieing on the ground Next to the cold gravestone The ring he has kept for years in fists hes bound Lies still in the grass, as he dies all alone The last few mumblings of this broken being Are his goodbyes to the earth, yet last He states his love in last breath fleeting Once and for all his time has passed.
