[hometext] => I like to document how I feel when at extremes. This is how I felt the other day, but I'm OK since putting it to paper. Not a metered poem, but what the hell?
[bodytext] => Nothing’s ever easy You beat your head against a silent wall. You try to make a sound, but the noise has gone So, you sink deeper and try to present yourself to the world as YOU, as someone who is surviving. There’s a vertical tunnel and you’re climbing up the wall. Your fingernails are tearing and with each step you fall. You need to keep life stable for the innocent of eye. They look to you for guidence – to always answer “why?” And all the time the weight gathers on your head, crushing the bones in your neck and pushing your toward death. Uphill, downhill, underground. Kicking, fighting, choking, biting Until the earth becomes your home and lets you sleep [comments] => 3 [counter] => 176 [topic] => 48 [informant] => catkin [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )
