hot desert nights and no relief in sight.
Melody of guitar lingering in the air
soft strokes of tune, songs linger.

Dusty dirt road in an arid plain,
driving to the city for a coke and a smile.
Pack of smokes and some late night snacks
Owning the darkness and precious conversation, intense, surreal, un bound.

Shared laughter, borrowed tears, brushes of blue.
Mended and broken, adventures mixed with story- book journey.
Grounds to cover, hearts to recover, loss and rebirth.
Tears that mingled with one desert rain shower.

Our Casino moments, and a steaming engine.
Temperature outside scorching, to far to walk, blistering feet.
Baring witness to a heart that blistered, hugs to mend the wounds.
Heart strings meshed and universe calling, it is life.

Foot- prints in the desert sand, a gypsy rose and a crow.
Still wandering, ghost to those desert plains now.
Adventures still taking them to far off places, though bonds always strong.
Capturing each moment, time in a bottle and forever is at our feet.

Blessed at four corners, winds whisper their names.
The life of the arid desert plains, castles building in the sands.
Recovering messages, bound by nothing.
Circles of life and memories that wont end.

Dear Michelle, this was so poignant and beautiful. And I could envision
it all. I miss that crow around these parts. Tell him to post more,
will ya? lol But this ... this delicate piece of wonder, as fragile as the
desert sky, was breathtaking, hun. The passion and depth found
within your words could drench your reader with emotion.

Stunning!

And just what I needed this morning ... *wink*

I love the imagery. Your use of words is inspiring.
