The wind was singing a song and I felt it was just for me.
I recall so fondly back then at that place and time
someone said wise word to me, strong, soft yet sublime.

This life is always a mystery, and at times it will be hard.
In the journey there will be things that send you reeling and feeling ajar.
Remember that when the darkest times come, and tears freely flow,
Nobody can put out your fire or your inner glow.

Chin up, stand up, put your shoulders back.
Brush yourself off and make your stand once again.
For no one can take your ember that lies within your soul
unless you stay down then you make it so.

When you are hurting, and people around you are too.
Open your arms as wide as you can and let the hugs flow.
Wipe away a tear or two or just sit and say you care.
But never just sit down for long, you have many hugs and much love to share.

Arms wide open my friends, I send a hug to you.
Sending best wishes and a word of comfort when feeling blue.
Healing comes in many forms and we all at times have formed pain.
Hug it away love it away get up and stand once again!

In Memory of Grandma Byrne
and a fond thanks to my Grannie Winkle for her wisdom and love and all the hugs that are so freely floating.

I remember when I was a child Grandma would always want to kiss me when she was leaving and going back home and I hated it, now I would give anything to be able to kiss her and let her know how much I cared for her. Wayne - jsringo

Very few times in our lives do we get the chance to experience unconditonal love. The love of a grandmother is such an experience.

This was beautiful and full of warm emotion my friend, as your poetry always is .

I hope you are well and happy
Roses at your feet
