Prisoner of Romance
You are a delicate flower
Swaying to the rhythm of the wind
I observe with bated breath
Longing to be more than a friend
Golden sunbeams weaving
In and out of dangling tresses
As if God himself
Your beauty addresses
Your soft, gentle smile
Stills the restlessness of my spirit
Inviting my heart to trust love
No more to fear it
You are the very inspiration
The very light of my soul
I dare not wait for tomorrow
For tomorrow is not in my control
So tonight I lay down my defenses
Daring to take a chance
Succumbing to love I become
A prisoner of Romance
Russ
