Reach Out In Thought Word and Deed
So many are suffering and are in need.
"That"s what Our dear Lord asks of us"
"Love Thy Neighbour."
In this world of poverty war, and unrest
We as Christians should do our best
Reach out, to who, do not know of Gods Love
"By our actions directed from Our Lord above "

You may touch a heart By words written by you
The offer of friendship or a smile may even do
"That"s what Our dear Lords ask of us"
"Treat others as we would like to be treated"

We do not have to preach sermons to open a door
To show them the way, that there is much more
Friendship is love with understanding that's true
LOVE shown by our Lord , for me, and for you.

Words Written, Thought, Or Spoken Can Be The Way
To guide somebody new,
To Hear The LORD Say
"COME UNTO ME ALL YOU WHO SUFFER
AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST."

Doug,
it is nice to have you back posting again. This is an incredible and insightful write as well. I agree we do not need to march the streets preaching...... that annoys me lol. We do however need to show love and kindness and forgiveness to all .I loved this write.

Even the scripture at the end and I am not much into religion but I found it fitting. I have been working on the spiritual point of life some as in these trying times that is what will sustain us as people to carry on through what is to come.

This is an excellent poem but to be honest i have found that a lot of "Christians" have forgotten the "Love thy neighbour" Commandment. but surely youre not one of them!
