He is beyond anything that I am hoping for
My Angel with dark wings
But when I awake he is no more
He is my Dark Knight on a black horse
He is broken like me, this Knight of mine
To my heart he plots his course
And we’ll heal each other over time
I want no knight in shining armor, no one pure and flawless
I want someone with a wounded heart like mine
I want someone from the darkness
Someone who knows the loneliness of the passage of time
I want a man who truly knows sorrow
A sad, lonely Angel like me
So that I can better his tomorrow
And in the darkness together we shall be
From pain we shall slowly set each other free
And when we fall in love he will sing to me:
“My dearest friend if you don’t mind
I’d like to join you by your side
Where we can gaze into the stars
And sit together
Now and forever
For it is plain as anyone can see
We’re simply meant to be”

**Note: by Dark I do not mean evil, I mean dark like a Tim Burton film**
The song I quoted is: “Finale/Reprise” from: The Nightmare Before Christmas by: Tim Burton and Danny Elfman

Do not ever give up on your dreams. He is out there. Great write, direct to the point, yet smooth.

You know even before I got to the end I was thinking of Tim Burton and no not because of the title, it just kind of screams his name. Any way nice write
