Through the trees…

Hear that wind blow through the trees
I thought…I heard my name
And quickly turned myself about
To seek from whence it came

Could my mind be that much cruel
To stage such a charade
It lent me to this awkwardness
And the spectacle I made

Then softly whispered at my ear
It drove me quite insane
Perhaps it was not you at all
Just a falling…of the rain

The sound was so much like your voice
That I was all but sure
So soft and sweet, the way it called
And it resonated pure

For me there is no space or time
Where my mind, can get to rest
And listen to these words I speak
For now I will confess

I don’t know how to handle this
As I have said before
But when it comes to loving you
I will always want you more
