Spinning, laughing, swaying.

One hand about her waist,

the other wrapped around her own hand.

He led her across the dance floor

and she felt light as a feather.

He made her feel absolutely FEMALE.

Caressed by his masculinity and

absorbed in his attention.

Two smiles, meeting in the middle

for a kiss that the stars were jealous of.

His eyes were hooded with

Desire and her's

hooded with "come hither".

She whispered in his ear

and he shivered.

So bold yet shy were her actions

as if this had never happened before.

But then again, maybe it hadn't.

Could she remember a time

when she felt so cherished?

Was there ever a moment

that she danced on clouds?

She could not think about the past

she was blinded by the present.

What was his name?

Wow, what was hers?

Did she care?

She moved in each direction he led

as though this was where she

was meant to be.

Then, all too soon,

the song faded.

She held his hand longer than

intended.

And he could not let her go

without knowing more.

The music gone

the dance continued.

Stolen moments...

the meeting of eyes and lips.

Never before had she felt so calm

and energized like this.

But as always,

goodbyes happened.

She walked away looking back

and he was looking back

and they were looking back.

Goodbye!?!

Maybe not...

Wow, what a dance. Unfortunately we don't get to share enough of those through our lives. Great write.
