keeps me inside of you, like band posters on my walls
of music long forgotten, but staining me with colors.
Like old school book written messages and
Saved voice mail calls.

I tried to learn a lesson, but it won’t leave me alone.
Keeps trying to redeem it, give back what it stole.
But I have since changed, my eyes turned astray,
to temporary kisses, like change flowing
In pocket holes

We may have history
But I’m no master of alchemy.
This old spark won’t flash to gold
And if it did I’d have it sold

So I’m the one that’s changing, a figure of the times,
proper product placement, empty written lines.
Well I remember everything, that you have since forgot,
and I don’t take kindly to tenderness that I already sought
By thousands of rhymes.

Take you to the movies, see the thirty foot face?
It’s like a reminder in a foreign place,
that life goes on, but this tape and person remains
and in a few years, you’ll see them again and the feeling will have changed
within what you stood to taste

We may have history
But I’m no master of alchemy
This old spark won’t flash to gold
And if it did I’d have it sold

We may have been in love
but for you it wasn’t enough.
And now it’s what you want
but for me, that feeling’s stopped.

So even if you still have love for me,
I’m no master of alchemy.
This old spark won’t flash to gold
And if it did I’d have it sold

Touching write, I felt so much here. Good job here my friend but of course, YOU always pull off beauty in your writes no matter the subject.

Wishing you well
much love and many more hugs

Michelle
