Exquisite concave, the blinding epicentre
Burns into my minds eye,

What guards the inner sun as night erupts?
Will humans ever understand such design…

You turned something small and often overlooked piece of gem into what it is suppose to be...glorious! Beautiful piece of work!

Isn't it wonderful, how with enough thought, we humans are capable of expressing the beauty of smaller obects in life...that are often over-looked.

You made me really visualize the center of that daisy as the "orbed sun, " and the petals (white arms) reaching outward from it.

I also believe, that even as "night erupts" upon it, the "inner sun/orb" still shines eternal.

This poem stimulated my mind.

Excellent write.

Loved it! And yes, what causes them to protect at night? One of the many wonderful mysteries of this world! And no, I don't think we will ever understand....only maybe, if we take the time like you did...can we be awed by the mastery of it!
