Like a broken angel free falling out of control
Spinning wrecklessly through the air
Praying for salvation While choking on my own despair
With desperation in my eyes
I claw though the canvas of the skies
Reaching a slow hover
Just above the sunset
As a faint reminder of my distant lover
See I keep her picture wrapped in lace
Held in a state of suspended grace
Like a queen without a throne
I float amongst a sadness unknown
A ghost to the world I am unseen
And I'm dying inside but you won't hear me scream
I am a shadow of a broken dream
Pieces of a broken heart left behind
I am a vision of true romance
Trapped inside a world gone blind
Solace I cannot find
Through a million tears cried
It's as if I have lived and died
And came back a ghost to the one who matters most
Still I'll follow her wherever she goes
In flesh unseen but a love that bleeds through and shows
Like a lonely lily that grows
From out of the snow
Carried away by the gentle wind that blows
Through the wasted moments of time
It has twisted and swirled
Resting upon the hands of a ghost to the world
As I carry it for the one I love
Hoping one day to wake up alive inside her eyes
But for now I will remain forgotten...
A mere ghost inside her skies.

"I am a shadow of a broken dream" that line really stands out. This poem is truly heart wrenching yet carries such devotion. I bet she's missing you too. Stay strong bleedthelove. Beautiful writing.
