If you could take a photo
Deep within her soul
You’d see the emptiness that lies within
That deep abysmal hole.

You’d look at the bright smiles
That grace each picture she takes.
But very few will ever know
The smiles are nothing but fake.

On the surface she appears to be joyful
She shares the happiness of all.
No one must know of her pain
She needs to stand tall.

No one knows those deep, dark thoughts
That resides within her head.
She lives in a world of fantasy,
As she closes her eyes in bed.

She wishes things could be different
But fate dictates otherwise.
No one must ever discover
The tears that she cries.

Jenni-k, You have put a poem full of suffering and hiding away from reality. I trust that this is just a poem and not something real. It hurts to read of someones losing love their love and faith. soapy.

Oh Jenni, how painful! What a devastating write. I especially felt
the line "As she closes her eyes in bed". Something about the night
time that magnifies anguish, you know? And lying wide awake in bed,
with only thoughts for company; trying so desperately to sleep and
put those thoughts to rest can really be a painful experience.

Loved the whole piece! It's very emotive.

Hope all is well with you. ^_^

*hugs*

Deep emotions your tapping there. Even in the darkness of it all at lest you have a small grasp on who you are behind it all. Life is harsh dont let go of yourself.
Keep up the good work
