(the criminal,
the Priest,
Highways gone deserted
Ice in your veins
Fires burning the Plains

A horse
Drawing near to water
Sees its reflection
Thinks it is a Mare
The animal, smiling,
Leaps into the tide
the Serpent
passes a thorn in its side
so the poor wretch, died)

“I heard these choruses and in the midst of them all, a lone voice wailed to the heart of our darkness.”

I Feel the Walls Seeking Others to Personify a Monster
That Would Have Otherwise Never Come to exist
Last to see Honest daylight
The Ceremonies of our Nights Do Commence
The Pain is So Massive
As the Memories Betray Me Passive
I beg of you Don’t hold my Heart Captive
A Winter Close to October’s Center
I find in my Mind as it Remembers
to brush aside the faintest Cinders
No Life is left less Clearer
Even as the Shadowy Figures do draw Nearer
No one Wants to Revisit the Haunts
Where Giants lose their Piety
Hermits grow Dimly Hearted
and Disappear into Society
In the Shadowy Precipice
of the House of Priests
The Phantoms Boisterously do Enter
We keep the Sweetest Grief
Being Close to the Bleakness Rendered

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
