Like the rivers wild and free
there is a ripple just the same.

In the night the thoughts arrive
and stumble over themselves.
Maybe words strewn on blue paper
searching for the middle truth.

So it goes drifting with the wind
thoughts and deeds never connect
lost to sullen moments again
million miles away, it ends.

No meeting in the middle
the ground shakes each time we meet
like the earthquake underground
rocking all off their feet.

Write it down on shades of blue paper.
Ink sealed with a kiss of lipstick red.
Faint gaze up to the skies above
million miles away begins again. [comments] => 9 [counter] => 311 [topic] => 52 [informant] => shelby [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => goodbyepoetry )

Life is a circle, all modes return. nothing is ever a million miles away. Today's love is yesteryears wanting and tomorrows yearning. Children show this pattern year after year with the games played in the school playground. no I think not a million miles away, more on one's own back garden. soapy.

Michelle,

captivating indeed, and bittersweet, beautiful, and contemplative. Elusive on one level, yet familiar all the same.

Michelle,

somehow this piece feels like a bit of lost time,
trying desperately to be found. There is a familiarity in
this I cannot seem to escape. It's almost a comfort in a
melancholic sort of way.

Beautifully written, hun, as always.
A soft caress across the heart, this is.

*hugs*

~Breezy

Michelle,

I like it. Has a soft, subtle power to it...if that makes any sense.

Good write.
