Day has run down darkness welcoming patter of the rain.
Times such as these the moments are golden
precious and precise opportunity to unravel the day.

Then there is the silent.....

Not a word or a reply, punishing with neglect
words gone astray, diminishing on winds
barren such barren could be compared with the desert
where everything lovely slowly withers away......

Glow of first light after the dark
sun begins to rise and overcome nights gown.
No hustle on the streets or cars passing by
not yet, maybe only the song of early rising birds

This is refreshing, soul awakening moments.

Brief note or reply, yet there is none.
Silence is not golden
hurting hearts making souls come undone.

Silence can refresh or kill a soul. How true! Silence is sometimes golden and a blessing, think of the teacher with a headache and the school children that sit and fidget, making that soft noise that is very distracting and disturbing to the one with the aching head. Now there silence would indeed be golden. What of the silence when one sees a crime being perpetrated and does not report the crime to the police or the authorities. Now this kind of silence is a would be killer. It makes one think. soapy
