As sorrows grow like ocean swells
Upon a bed of memories demons come to lie
Just like upon a bed of leaves in autumn

Through the Gates of Hell the soul comes and goes at will
As does the breeze across an open window's sill
Patiently waiting and watching until weary hearts lie still
And from that crimson flow immortal hearts drink their fill

Lying within the shadows to escape morning's first light
While waiting for the sun to relinguish its throne in the sky
So the moon can once more grace the night
And the damned can once more take flight upon the wind

Of the damned soul, still and darkened waters like a mirror reveal nothing
As upon midnight's breath their lullaby nightingales do sing
Wanting death, no longer to live and the peace with which death would bring
Until Hell calls the damned soul home flying upon the Devil's wing

Dark very dark I hope this is just writing and not the way you really feel. If life has gotten you this down why not make some changes for better things. We are not meant to live our life this way.

You have not lost a spark in your writing at all. Well done emotional write.

I know I have already told you what I think about this poem but I will again write it here for all to see. This was an excellent poem. Well written never missing a beat. You hit hard with these words, these thoughts and these emotions. When you are not happy you try to change it so you are for some it is a feverish battle that spans for years others it is easy as saying it. This was very good indeed Mr. Rich.

Take care
Me
