Places left behind.

To speak plainly
The mountain that overlooks
The pale ephemeral shore
Heightens my remorse
(The thunder of my heart
Is dwindled
In the thunder of the rain)
Weeping gently
With winds across the plains
Of open faces
Stirring leaves in places
Left behind
Trinity spoke the second tome
Jill rang the judge, paid
The bellhop, and killed the dog.
Lovers coughed iodine laughter
Lapsed journeys; calling nowhere
On the phone, calling household dreams.
Falsehood—spent on ecstasy— three dollars
On the bathroom sink
Two
Heaven follows closely
Given god can hear us.

Lovers coughed iodine laughter
that line is awesome.
I didn't take any message or anything away from this which really helped me enjoy it. Just reading this made me feel good. A canvas painted with words.
Have a nice day. |
