Just For One Day

Topic: SadPoetry

Just for one day
I would like to be beautiful
Knowing that yes, I actually have
The potential to find love.

Just for one day
I would like to be a size 5
Knowing that I can find anything,
Anything in my size and look good in it.

Just for one day
I would like to be sexy
Knowing heads are turning as I pass by.

Just for one day
I would like to be healthy
To be able to run, play, have fun,
And not be tired, asthmatic, and sore.

Just for one day
I would like to not be alone
Knowing my family and friends are there for me
Knowing the man holding me is my lover,
My friend, and will never leave, cheat, or hurt me.

Just for one day
I would like to be rich
Knowing, and doing, all the help
I have ever wanted to give to those
Those in need and those I care for.

Just for one day
I would like to be happy
Knowing that no matter what,
Life will be better, is better, and
That I am actually loved and
That I’m not being played and backstabbed.

Just for one day
I would like to not think about my own death.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Just be who you are.

What this all boils down to is: "Just for one day," love and be loved.

Nice write.

Beautifully written. I think we've all felt this way
at some point in time.

This pulled at my heart the whole way through. Life is definately not fair, that is for sure. May many of these days come true at some point for you.
