were enough to contain what remained
of five year's hopes and dreams.

Piece by piece,
all my plans were dismantled
and packed away.

That day I fought to quell despair,
and found I still had a little fight left.

I vowed if I had to go i'd leave nothing behind,
I'd take every last bit I could find.

So I rolled up the carpets and even took out the lights,
and all I left him was a gutted, empty shell.

And afterwards I sat on the floor with the homeless dude
i'd hired to help me move for ten bucks a day,
ate cheap chinese food, and smoked one last joint.

I'm certain at some point we each pitied each other,
and then felt just a little bit better about our own life. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 202 [topic] => 43 [informant] => jantra [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 9 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

I think its very good, very filled with emotion. Im guessing its about you moving out of your boyfriends/husbands house, am I right? I like the last line especially.
