LoveRemembered

My heart would jump when you went through that doorway and walked towards me;
It sagged when you went through that doorway towards your old Ford;
It shouted for joy when your lips were the key;
But it cried in pain and agony when it was hit with that angst sword;
Through it all,
The ocean waves stopped crashing
And I know now I shall never fall
And no matter how hard that sword is slashing;
I’ll always have memories to recall.
