One to play sometime,
And maybe it’ll make me famous.

I’ll travel the world,
Everyone will know my name,
Bono will kiss my feet.

I’ll go to Africa to show you that I care,
And the news will tell you
I’m doing something to help the world.

But I’ll sit in my limo
And sip on expensive wine
In my built in Jacuzzi.

You’ll hear me tell you about the world,
And everyone will believe me,
Because I’m a big _____ star.

But this song won’t get played,
Not by radio, not by me.
The notes so sweet and solitary.
No guitar, no band, no admirers.

Or maybe I’ll get a band,
And we’ll go on a long tour
In a beer-soaked school bus.

We’ll hit up every townie-bar
Across the U S of A
And play to 30 kids with nothing better to do.

Then the crowds will start growing,
And the kids will listen to our words,
We’ll have an impact we can’t believe.

Then we’ll talk to Island,
And just say “no thanks”
Because we’re better than that.

The kids will love us more,
And we’ll keep up the same
Damn routine month after month.

But this song won’t get played,
Not by radio, not by me.
The notes so sweet and solitary.
No guitar, no band, no admirers.
Just me in my head never really doing _____.

Rock and ______ Roll! I think you did a very good job of capturing the spirit of your every day rock band. Not the famous ones mind you. The ones that play for beer and tacos. Well done!
